GE Fanuc 90-30 and TA100 comm issue

Post by FinLad »

Hello to all of you.

I bumped in to an issue with GE Fanuc 90-30 and with a TA100 panel. We were supposed to change ip addresses on Fanuc 90-30 PLC and to one of the TA100 panels that were in the same subnet before. Addresses are show below.

After the IP-addresses were altered, the network stopped working, and the TA100 panel is no longer fetching data from the PLC. Only thing changed was the IP addresses and no other configuration was altered. Has anyone of you encountered this before, or seen similar issue?

Network structure stayed the same, both units are connected to same switch as before. Switch is not configurable, and not doing any routing. Gateway was added to be able to reach the units from outside the internal network.

10.1.1.5 PLC
10.1.1.50 TA100
subnet 255.0.0.0
No gateway.

new addresses

10.3.6.201
10.3.6.230
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.3.6.254

Is there any static routing possibility inside the TA100?

Any help would be highly appreaciated.

FinLad,

Did you alter the ip address on the driver inside of iX Developer and redownload your project to the TA100? The panel will have an IP address stored for the GE Fanuc 90-30 PLC. If this ip address has not changed then it will not communicate.

Thanks,
Best regards,
