How to change Controller TCPIP addr without IxDev?

Post by BobLivingston »

We need to change the GE Controller TCPIP address with out using iX developer when our production/service group installs a HMI. Is there an action or scripting utility to change the controller IP address on the fly?

Yes, you can change the target PLC IP address or other controller settings at run-time using the "Change Active-Controllers" action. The terminal will need to be rebooted for the settings to take effect after the change. There is not a way to do this with script.
