Printers

Post by wlederer »

Who got success with connecting printers to T7A (or similar) HMI?
Some months ago I tried with HP LaserJet P2055dn (was specially ordered for this job), but could not find solution, neither with USB nor with network. I used iX Developer 1.3. HP experts did not help as well, because: "Windows CE is not supported".
Stories about contemporary (means: their production is not yet discontinued) monochrome laser printers are especially interesting.

Sent the printer type to PCLLASERJET, make sure the PCL5c checkbox has been checked and type in the name/path of the printer if it is an Ethernet printer, then it should work.

Thank You Mark. I'll try again later.
As far as I know, HP migrated from PCL5 to PCL6 language and printers with default PCL5 are not available anymore. Is it true?
Did Beijer try printers with default PCL6 language?
Did Beijer try printers using any other languages?

Each protocol is different and needs to be programmed into the HMI. At some point in the future Beijer may write a print driver that is PCL compatible.
