In iX Developer, before you're able to upload from target, the source code must have been downloaded to the panel.

The steps to take to download the source code are from the Transfer Client to click Advanced -> Download all source code, then click Download

There is a system tag called Latest Loaded Recipe that will display the Name of the recipe that is currently loaded

This may be best to do in the PLC. Have you tried it in the PLC code already?
